Family Memory Trust (FMT) works to find new sources of information to advance genealogical research in or about Silesia, Posen, West Prussia and East Prussia, now areas of western and northern Poland.  FMT supports individuals and groups in Poland and elsewhere working on making such information available to the public.

FMT also supports its partner organizations in Poland and elsewhere.   In Wroclaw, the Urban Memory Foundation (UMF), a Polish non-profit organization seeking to create awareness of Wroclaw’s pre-War (Breslau) Jewish community among the current population of Wroclaw, Jewish and non-Jewish.  One such element of the Breslau Jewish community is the lost Claassenstrasse (ul. Gwarna) Jewish cemetery.  FMT and UMF hope to create a memorial to the Claassenstrasse Jewish cemetery and the 5000 people buried there.
